He has the experience and sensitivity to guide a woman through this most personal body sculpting procedure. The following is a summary about the breast lift procedure, which Doctor Singer can discuss in more detail, to help you choose the breast lift procedure that is best for you.
With breast lift surgery the ideal result is having a nipple at or above the level of the fold where the breast meets the chest or inframammary fold. The nipple, gland and surrounding skin are lifted and tailored to create a general shape that should be youthful and round. In younger and athletic women, the nipple is above the fold, it sits almost directly centered on the mound in the lateral view. With age, the nipple and gland tend to descend on the chest wall, thus requiring lifting.

There are hundreds of types of breast lift procedures. The optimal procedure depends upon your physical examination and wishes.
Vertical Breast Lift
Incisions around the areola and down to the inframammary fold. This breast lift procedure is very versatile, avoiding the transverse incision… but has limitations in vertical reduction of breast skin and limits some shaping. Incisions require time to settle and may require revision at the fold.
Wise Pattern Breast Lift
The most common form of mastopexy. Allows the most shaping on all sizes. Scar is around the areola, down and into the fold. Scars in the fold may be an issue. The vertical incision tends to heal well. The areolar may widen with time.
Circumareola Brest Lift
The incision is around the border of the areola. It is best for those patients that need a small lift, a lift with implants, and for those concerned about scars elsewhere. Scars can widen with time but are easily revised. If performed without implants, this procedure may cause the areola to flatten.
